The revised edition of ACEA’s Oil Sequences for Heavy-duty Engines updates the 2022 version.

ACEA members that manufacture heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) are developing new engine powertrain systems to continue to improve fuel efficiency and deliver the higher performance expected from customers while also meeting the latest stringent pollutant emission requirements. The update provides a graphical, non-legal overview of the applicability of different engine oil sequences’ usability based on vehicle emissions norms, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) engine compatibility, exhaust treatment, and fuel compatibility.
