Supply Chain

Enhancing sustainability in the automotive supply chain is a key concern for automotive players. A number of Europe’s vehicle manufacturers cooperate in working to improve the performance of their supply chains in this respect.
Throughout a supply chain, natural resources, raw materials and components are transformed into a finished product that is delivered to the consumer. Given the nature of its products, the automotive industry has a deep and complex global supply chain. Ensuring the sustainability of this supply chain is a key priority for manufacturers. This means providing a ‘responsible’ end-product from a social, human and environmental point of view, with a focus on labour conditions, human rights, business ethics and environmental footprint throughout the entire chain.
A number of Europe’s vehicle manufacturers cooperate in working to improve the performance of their supply chains, for instance by sharing best practices and common tools and trainings. At the same time, they maintain independent management of their supply chains, in compliance with relevant competition law.
