- 20 EU member states offer incentives (such as bonus payments or premiums) to buyers of electric vehicles.
- 6 countries do not provide purchase incentives, they merely grant tax reductions or exemptions for electric cars:
- Belgium
- Bulgaria
- Cyprus
- Denmark
- Latvia
- Malta
- Lithuania is the only state that does not provide any tax benefits or incentives at all.
