Register now: putting the EU auto industry back on track post-COVID, 20 October

Please mark your calendar and register for the ‘Putting the EU auto industry back on track post-COVID’ online conference on Tuesday 20 October.

The coronavirus crisis has shaken the automobile industry right across the EU, leading to production losses of more than 3.6 million motor vehicles so far (worth around €100 billion) and impacting over 1.1 million European workers at the peak of the crisis. Registrations of all vehicle types have collapsed, and car sales are forecast to be down by a historic 25% this year.

  • So how can we put the auto industry back on track in a green and sustainable way?
  • What is at stake for the EU and the millions of Europeans employed by the sector?

In order to get different viewpoints on these crucial questions, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) is holding an online conference on Tuesday 20 October, from 14.30-15.45.

Register now to learn first-hand from automotive CEOs Michael Manley (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) and Henrik Henriksson (Scania); Head of Commissioner Timmermans’ Cabinet, Diederik Samsom; leading industry analyst Colin Couchman (IHS Markit Automotive); and the German Minister for Economic Affairs, Peter Altmaier, about their insights on what is needed to reboot the industry.

You will also be able to take the unique opportunity to raise your questions and comments with the panellists during the live debate.
